We are the Bingham family, we live on a 100 acre property nestled in the hills of Salmon Idaho and run an Assisted Living facility “The Meadows” where we care for and adore all of our residents. We lost our amazing lab (Zoe) of 15 years in 2017. With 3 kids and a couple dozen residents that she visited daily she was greatly missed so we wanted to find another dog that we could love as much as her.
Whatever dog we got had to be compatible with not only our family but the residents of our assisted living facility. After a lot of research, we found a good breed that we could all finally agree on, the Tinetan Mastiff. Unfortunately there aren’t very many options or breeders of tibetan mastiffs in the US, so after a lot more research we found a couple dogs that we wanted. Picking just one was SO hard, but we finally decided on Chewy, our male puppy. The only problem now was he was in the Czech republic, so we made a whole bunch of phone calls and through a lot of emails, we were able to acquire the information that we needed to get our Chewy shipped to us. In our research, we read a number of times that like many dog breeds, Tibetan Mastiffs are not good by themselves, so after a lot of conversation and contemplation we decided that Chewy shouldn’t be alone, we found Cora and Cherry, two beautiful sisters in Hungary, and since we couldn’t pick one over the other, we had to have both of them. This time, we knew what we needed to do and have, so it was much easier to get their passports arranged for them to fly in. (picture of passports) documentation.
